ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research is to explore extensively the problems of broken marriages, causes and its effects on children, church, and society with aim of educating the readers on the menace of this phenomenon. Historical research, library and field based were adopted for this work, related materials and books were consulted with the use of questionnaire, interviews were also conducted. Chapter one started with the basics of research. Chapter two examined some relevant literature on the subject. Chapter three is on the biblical basis on the concept of marriage. Chapter four contextualized the literature review. Chapter five contains the summary, conclusion, and recommendations made. The research will also make recommendation on how best the church can assist in checking the continue occurence of the incedent of the broken marriages.
